Perhaps US surveillance capitalism will provide some security lost through a porous southern border. Maybe those who cross it don't have a proper visa, but at least adtech can tell us who they are. Worries about allowing terrorists into the country can be offset by monitoring their internet searches, buying history, location data, etc.
