>The anticipation was palpable, with at least six other tourists wandering the cold brick hall, there to hear the final hours of this loud and, after a time, torturous sound.

Just reading that line alone brightened up my morning. You can admire something and still find it a bit silly.

I find many things admirable because they're silly. :-)

That was my first thought as well.

Supposing this project gets off the ground, maybe even somehow surpasses linkedin, some investor will come along, flash a big pile of cash at the owner and bam, through various monetization strategies to make back that money, you end up back at linkedin.

Linkedin isn't the way it is because they didn't know how to make good UI.

even if it's the same stuff, it's interesting to see different comments

I think a lot of the time, I find more value in the comments and discussion than the actual article

>rendering a static website

2advanced was the epitome of flash design. I don't think I was ever really paying much attention to the content, but it was fun to interact with the UI.

EDIT: They're still going!

All on canvas now, but same kinda feel. Makes me think of command and conquer.

makes me think of Final Fantasy 7, which came out around the same time

For me, it was a delicio.us replacement

Did you think previously it was worth $22 p/a?

For new cars in the US (they're not required at all here in UK)

EU requires them too

Backup sensor suffices, unfortunately.

Indeed, thanks for the correction

Not EU wide. At least in Spain, entry level cars don't have neither camera nor sensors

All newly sold vehicles in EU need to have either reversing camera or sensors starting from July 7, 2024

randy's also written the cute framework and is super helpful on discord, if you're into that sorta thing.

I'm sure I've also spotted him in the SDL channels.

Ah, that explains it. The article is just a Substack with a custom domain, this sounds like an error on their part, not something the author can or should concern themselves with.

It's AIs all the way down.
