The post from Ars Technica [1] on the same subject has more details about the encounter. The researcher had it happen twice in two different trips, they were able to identify the person running the exploit because that was the person in common between both trips. This is very movie like in a sense still.
This is interesting. I think the scenario it should be used is for non sublte messages, such as sarcasm. I gave it a try with KRAZAM's video and the answer is hilarious when you consider the video intended exactly the opposite.

I have been having similar issues with freezing, but only the video stutters, everything else keeps running in the background. I also have the base space gray model.
Weirdly enough this only happens if I don’t turn off the mac for days (only putting in sleep mode) and when the ram is close to 16GB.
However, when the ram gets to 16GB, the only thing that gets impacted is the video, there is no spinning wheel, audio doesn’t stop. Just the video stutters for a bit, then jumps to present.
The theory here is that the onboard graphics card doesn’t have enough ram for it, it is being swapped constantly, which causes the stutters.
Parsec, allows renting of cloud computers with quadros. Either via amazon or paperspace. It's rented per the hour. Storage costs additionally flat each month. I usually spent about 10 to 20 a month. For several nights a week with an hour or two gaming.
I do agree with you, even though SSN/DOB can be used to identify a person, it should not be used to identify a unique person [1].
As you said, Identity should not be confused with proof of identity. Hopefully it will get better with time.
You can achieve this without exposing any service. Let's Encrypt allows you to prove ownership of a domain through DNS 01 hooks.
I personally use Duck DNS [1] for main internal domains, so I can have a certificate that most tools will recognize as valid. This saves me from adding my cert in every machine that will use that service.
I use dehydrated [2] to get a Let's Encrypt certificate using Duck DNS. There is a good article explaining that by Andreas Gohr [3].
This is really promising. The use of enclave is strongly chained to its Hardware. Having a Framework with a plugin-like architecture definitely helps. I may be wrong, but I have the impression that the development of TEE within Virtual Machines and Containers is still in its early stages. I am looking forward to see how Asylo will help on this.
