I've found most hackathons not personally fulfilling because you can only get small stuff done and finalize maybe a happy path or two, accompanied by some rushed slides, before you run out of time. The AI really changes this and you can actually deeply exhaust an idea.
Just spotted this from Hank's channel [1] on YouTube. I love that I can look at all the crew photos while also knowing where in the flight path these were taken, this is great!
Sure, and she already got that lesson when there literally weren't more. Then she got another lesson: we can just make our own. In fact that may be one of the most important lessons to learn: you have agency, and you can use the tools you have as accelerants to better yourself, further increasing your agency.
I personally prefer to view it in the same orientation the photographer saw it in their viewfinder. Makes me feel more like I’m inside the vessle looking at the planet.
“Used to be” is not “is”. The USSR was an ally. As everyone is pointing out here, there’s no going back. Given that, and as much as I preferred the old order, we have only forward to go.

Yes, obviously a path back to that. Self-inflicted or not, it has been inflicted, and Europe has made it clear that it's a one-way road. Half-measures here will simply ruin us. Two possible paths existed: an attempt back to the alliance, or an attempt forward where the US simply exerts what strength she has before it wanes. Now that Europe has made it clear the former isn't on the table, the latter is the only thing available.
Think of it like this: America fucked up, and maybe with other allies at other times we could have gone back to the old ways. But these aren't those allies and this isn't those times. So we close doors on old friendships and go at it the other way.
