? Wait, what is it?

>In my profile, what is noprocrast?

> It's a way to help you prevent yourself from spending too much time on HN. If you turn it on you'll only be allowed to visit the site for maxvisit minutes at a time, with gaps of minaway minutes in between. The defaults are 20 and 180, which would let you view the site for 20 minutes at a time, and then not allow you back in for 3 hours.

I generally don't, I have other things to do in life. Family, kids, hobbies etc.

I'd say if you feel stuck and feel like you are not progressing, it might the right time to look for a new challenge?

There is a very good intro on how LLM work by Kharpaty. It's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xTGNNLPyMI and it's 3.30 hours, so way below the 100 hours mark :)

No expert at all here. But could I use this to say, model my room and understand how to treat it acoustically to remove reflections and stuff like that?

Environmental modelling is normally a little seperate to what you'd expect from a DAW. If you're unfamiliar, it's worth taking a look at EASE [1] (the semi grand-daddy of electro-acoustic simulation). Treble [2] are also doing some really interesting things. 10log [3] too for some coarser (but free) analysis.

Nice! Thanks a lot!

Eventually, but I'm not sure it's quite there yet. It has reflection surfaces, but I'd still need to add some more features like absorption, and more advanced frequency analysis. Treating a room is pretty techy - but I'm sure it could give you some ideas.

I'd like to look more into the acoustic modeling capabilities later on - and give it some more advanced features

I am married to an american but we are leaving abroad and we never started the process for me to get a green card as we didn't plan to move to the US yet. Is it true that when I apply and get the card I then have a limited amount of time to move in, and if I don't then I would have to start the whole process again?

Yes.

In general I also agree with this one, however I think that if a team really wants to enforce this, then at the very minimum should suggest the IDE to use and the settings to automatically correct formatting.

I suggest implementing a linter/formatter tool to be used with a pre-commit hook, so that it runs automatically and checks for this stuff automatically, avoiding you having to do it manually (mostly)

> at the very minimum should suggest the IDE to use and the settings to automatically correct formatting.

Yes, that is a given. I've never worked in a corporate environment where they didn't have a chosen IDE (from the small 4 employee company to the large multi-national defense conglomerate). Usually the company has an enterprise license, or at least will buy another seat/transfer a license when they hire a new dev.

INdeed, I remember seeing a video of a guy that did exactly this. Impressive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAtVOK04XvA

Flights are cheap for me to Poznan. Is it worth visiting other then this museum?

Absolutely.

The old town is charming, the food is great and lots green space to wander around. Citadel park is worth visiting and you’ll not regret it.

Wrocław is 2 hours away and it’s a wonderful city as well. Extra fun if you like treasure hunt as the city is full of tiny gnomes for that. Extra fun with kids.

Go for it!

i went there while in a summer school in Reading. Loved it and highly recommended! One of the things I remember was an exibith on how pidgeons were used in WWII

Please tell this to mediaval towns in Italy.
