Haters will say Sora wasn't worth it.

Incredible how quickly that moment passed. Four months on it's barely clinging to the App Store top 100, below killer apps such as Gossip Harbor®: Merge & Story.

Ok I’ll bite. Was it worth it? What have people missed that haven’t used it.

What is Sora?

One of many AI video generators that are filling up all video social media with rage bate garbage.

If you see a video of a cat running away from a police traffic stop

You can smell the desperation in the air. From the LLM companies.

Very unsurprising that that man felt useless. An amusing way to interpret what that unscrupulous little worm says is to interpret it as the truth.

We can just call it embarrassing yourself.

Awesome.

How would an LLM play like a human would? I kind of doubt that there is enough recounting of poker hands or transcription of filmed poker games in the training data to imbue a human-like decision pattern.

I don't have an answer, but there's over a decade of hand history discussions online from various poker forums like 2p2 and more recently Reddit.

Also, if you set the bar for human players low enough, pretty much any set of actions is human-like. :p

It is not a solid democracy if the only two political parties are largely aligned on most issues, leaving citizens helpless to change the way the uni party functions.

As for foreign policy, yes the United States is a terrorist state and has been for a long time.

You can literally go to DC and hold up a board saying "United States is a terrorist state" and not be arrested.

That should tell you everything you need to know.

It tells me that doing that is a meaningless performance. If it weren't, they'd actually try to actively ban it. Look at all the anti-BDS legislation for an example.

I'm trying to parse this, I presume you're talking about Russia? It's a more fitting comment about USA, to the point where I am in disbelief.

I am sorry, but this kind of level-headed and realistic take is completely unacceptable on hackernews, and you should be ashamed of yourself. This is not a place for rational discussion when it comes to LLMs.

LLMs are amazing and they will change everything, and then everything will be changed.
