one of the few places I’ve found that consistently talks about hardware / manufacturing stuff is https://hardwarefyi.com, i read it pretty religiously

A few weeks ago I learned that any device that emits RF energy needs to go through compulsory FCC certification before being sold in the US. The data actually goes public after six months and you can see external and internal teardown photos, test setup images, and other certification documents.

This is a database of product teardowns put together as part of a weekly newsletter about hardware & manufacturing: https://hardwarefyi.com/

In the midst of layoffs, I've been putting together a database of deep tech companies that are still hiring across across design, engineering, operations & more.

The spreadsheet has hundreds of companies organized by industry, location, headcount, and other key metrics. Link is here: https://tally.so/r/nrlMVo
