I don’t like meta , but they have and endless supply of people who would sell their mother to work there. I’m sure about that.

I’ve turned down lots of interviews there because I find working there to be morally bankrupt.

If I worked for Meta I’d be unhappy by default. Turned down plenty of interviews over the last decade or so and I have friends who are basically “rich” from working there and yet I’m still happy I didn’t join.

Open source is still around ? It would be vastly improving your life even though you can’t see it.

I feel new startups, features and more services coming online would be a good measurement of this amazing productivity boost we're seeing.

Have you noticed a major improvement in every service you pay for ? Like many new features and incredible improvements in user experience and reliability? Because I’ve not really noticed that. Actually, things seem to be offline more than they used to, namely GitHub.

I am definitely more productive at generating lines of code though which definitely gives me the illusion things are mOvInG rEaLly FaSt.

I notice these "list" jokes are becoming more frequent and I guess our intuition is telling us something.

Feels like America is slowly becoming a technologically inferior version of China.

We are becoming 19th Century Russia, including serfs, nihilist revolutionaries, military misadventures, imperialism, and Okhrana secret police.

Kind of tragic for all the kids who died after US Aid, the Iranian school kids, the detained children of "illegals", the victims of child molestation etc...
