Purely as an architectural thing: concrete seems to hold you forever in its unchanging form while bamboo, wood and metal sheets hold promises of changing the design whenever you feel like and the repairibility the DIYness the modularity is unmatched. I have lived in both houses so that's my experience. I'm thinking these days to make a house out of these materials and use concrete very less. I wish govts allow us to grow our own wood farms so that we can cut trees anytime we want if we have planted them. I know govts do allow but I have a bit less knowledge on this.

I wrote here or maybe elsewhere that on using opera browser on my phone, it allows word wrap automatically. My mobile experience is almost never broken

I'm an Indian, but had sanskrit education only a little not much. It just looks like lots of adjectives bunched together. I mean yes it maybe one word but then it's not a single idea it's just lot of adjectives bunched together to show the entire personality of something or somebody

• That applies to the Greek word too. Obviously these long “words” are compounds made up of distinct morphemes (similar with German examples like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rinderkennzeichnungs-_und_Rind... or for that matter even shorter English words like antidisestablishmentarianism), the whole thing is one “word” simply because there's a case ending only at the end; you need to read the whole thing as occupying a single role in the sentence it is a part of.

• It is not merely a string of independent adjectives; there's a progression of ideas from one morpheme to the next, just as in any compound. Try here: https://dharmamitra.org/?target_lang=english-explained&input...

Opera browser can render any page in word wrapping mode

How come only iron is there? Why not a gradation of elements from H to U as proclaimed by scientists often. They should just say they have no clue and all their theories regarding origin of Universe is good for dustbin since they cannot explain this fact of selective mass of iron

IRC gives quick reply to whatever your queries are. In my extremely limited time on IRC, I have found very helpful and very prompt people.

Hi, can you please tell me:

1. What are the upfront cost that you need to pay the apple store for them to host your app?

2. Do you need to host your app on some server and connect it to app store. What are the cost of that?

Sure, happy to share.

The Apple Developer Program costs $99/year.

On the backend side, the app does use servers for AI processing, so there are ongoing costs depending on usage (compute + storage). I’ve kept the initial setup fairly lean while validating usage and trying to understand real demand before scaling anything aggressively.

One of my main goals with this project is to learn how to balance infrastructure costs with a consumer subscription model in a sustainable way.

Even though I really like irc because I can get answers really quickly from helpful people but it's a net negative I have felt if you linger on and listen to people conversing. IRC is good for short help needs but if you spend lot of time then it's net negative. I feel for the helpful ppl on various irc channels who are there to help out of their own goodness. They must be having a lot of net negative

Please don't make me type my email password in your website so that if you get hacked then you take down along with you my email and possibly most other internet services and products related to me. The dangers lurking far outweigh any benefit of at all.

You should subscribed to a compendium of newsletters that we users subscribe to and then let us choose with checkboxes, which newsletters are ours and the ones we wished to use your service. You could have a "request your newsletter here" field also on your website. That would be a sane profit making service.

I don't! It doesn't access your email account at all. You choose what to forward, and you have a separate login to Hidden Signal (unless you reuse your password of course, but I can't stop that!)

Edit on your edit: That's a great idea! I'll look into that. But, I promise, I don't want access to your email. You just auto-forward via filter or manually forward to HiddenSignal, or use the forwarding email I give you and sign up for things that way. Easy peasy, no access to your email account.

What's your opinion on a sudden flooding that happened some years ago in that region. I am an Indian so for some days our news were showing only that flooding news. It was sudden and super mssive and some news people suspected that same device or maybe one of the devices being accidentally going off. It was all speculation but the sudden and massive flooding was also unexplained to some extent. There has been several massive flooding in the region recently but all are due to extensive rain and cloud bursts. But one was unexplained in my untrained opinion. I remember it was some huge construction site. Wha they were building now I have forgotten that

The entire world would notice a nuke going off. Like we did with North Korea’s nuclear tests.
